This release improves the Workspace upgrade and payment experience, data access control, and the account-linking journey for Shopify users entering a Workspace. These updates make it easier for users to choose the right plan while strengthening data security and account continuity.
Enhanced Workspace Pricing and Payment Experience
1.1 Smart Plan Recommendations Based on GMV
- When a user clicks Upgrade to Pro, the system retrieves the available GMV data and converts it into trailing 12-month GMV.
- Based on the annualized GMV, the system automatically recommends and highlights the most suitable pricing tier, making plan selection easier.
- Users may select a higher tier. Selecting the tier immediately below the recommended one is allowed only when the 20% downward adjustment rule is met.
- If GMV data is temporarily unavailable, users can still view all pricing options, choose a plan, or submit a sales inquiry.
1.2 New Five-Tier Pricing
Pricing ranges are lower-bound inclusive and upper-bound exclusive:
Users can also switch between monthly and annual billing to select the option that best fits their business size and payment preferences.
1.3 Streamlined Payment and Sales Handoff
- The first four tiers support direct online payment. After payment is completed, the corresponding paid plan becomes available to the user.
- Users in the
$50M+tier can select Contact sales to request a custom quote. - Users whose GMV cannot be retrieved, or who would like to discuss their options, can select Submit sales lead.
- Payment results and transaction records support subsequent user-role updates and order reconciliation.
New Data-visible Whitelist
- A new Data-visible Whitelist controls which users can access designated data.
- Administrators can manage whitelisted accounts in the admin panel, ensuring that only authorized users have access.
- Whitelist configuration is separated from the standard user access flow, reducing the risk of unintended data exposure.
Strong Account-Linking Reminder for Shopify Users
For users who enter a Workspace after installing the Shopify app but have not yet linked a Workspace email address, a new account-linking reminder is displayed on the Workspace home page:
- A prominent account-linking reminder appears when the user enters the Workspace.
- Selecting Link email account takes the user to the sign-in or email-linking flow.
- Users may select Remind me later to temporarily collapse the reminder. It will appear again after 24 hours.
- The reminder retains its current state while the user navigates between pages, avoiding repeated interruptions.
- The reminder disappears immediately after the email address is successfully linked.
- The reminder cannot be permanently dismissed, helping ensure that users eventually complete account linking.
Benefits of This Release
- Clearer pricing: GMV-based plan recommendations make it easier to choose the right tier.
- A smoother upgrade journey: Direct payment and sales-assisted paths support businesses of different sizes.
- Stronger data security: Whitelist controls help restrict data access to authorized users.
- More complete accounts: Stronger email-linking guidance reduces breaks in the Shopify-to-Workspace account journey.
